The Montigo Illume 34FID Contemporary is a direct vent gas fireplace insert designed to transform an old, inefficient wood-burning fireplace into a clean, convenient and energy-efficient heating source. Running on natural gas or propane, it delivers consistent heat without the smoke, ash and sparks of wood-burning, with efficiency ratings so good that fans are optional. The contemporary burner and black porcelain liner add sleek, modern style, and the insert is designed to fit most standard-sized masonry fireplaces using co-linear venting with flexible chimney liners.
