It is a dual-layer stainless steel shield that mounts on top of the heater and reduces the required clearance from the top of the heater to a combustible surface above to 14 inches, down from 3 feet without it. It also captures heat that would otherwise rise vertically and redirects it down toward the seating area, and adds weather protection for the heater. Bromic recommends it for low-ceiling installations and exposed locations. The heater is sold separately.

Features:

Reduces top clearance to combustibles to 14 in (from 3 ft without deflector)

Dual-layer stainless steel construction

Redirects heat that would escape upward for more directional heat

Adds protection for the heater in exposed, weather-prone locations

Sized specifically for Tungsten Smart-Heat Gas 500 Series heaters

Suits wall- or ceiling-mounted installations in low-clearance areas
